Mercedes Benz W140 Part 1

Published by garageinc under The Grind

Decided to build something different. So with the help of Mike Denoga, I am going to build up a W140 chassis big body Mercedes Benz. I am pretty excited about this one as it is rare to see one done up Japanese VIP Style. Mike has opted to go with the Junction Produce kit for the car (thanks to Sean of JDM Palace), curtains, wheels, customs exhaust and either coilovers or airbags. Should be interesting to see the end result and to hear people’s reactions to a car rarely seen in the U.S. VIP scene… Keep posted to see some progress pics.

Caught the BAJA bug again… This could get expensive!!

Published by garageinc under The Grind

So the wife says “NO MORE” to street bikes, choppers and dirt bikes for me. Even my cherished BAJA-spec XR650R had to go. So what is a man to do when his passion for dirt toys gets smothered? He finds something else to get into. This time, I got the bug bad! I am now in the market for a prerunner or chase style off road truck. It was an easy sell to the wife since it can dubbed be a “family” activity. So Pismo, Ocotillo and Baja… Here come’s the Garage Inc family!! Post build pics soon.

Tasty!

Published by garageinc under The Grind

Came across these pics and thought I’d post them for all you to enjoy. What I like most about this particular car is the attention to detail in every aspect of the vehicle build. These are the types of builds that I like. It keeps your guessing what other details there may be to discover. I can literally sit there and just stare in awe saying to myself, “damn how come I didn’t think of that?” If you haven’t been to a Concourse or Goodguys shows… please do. It’s worth it! The cars you see and the ideas you get, even from the old timers can really help with your own build. I go just to get inspired. Enjoy the pics, more to come.

Goodguys x Garage Inc x Fatlace

Published by garageinc under The Grind

Thanks to our pal Solomon Lee of GOODGUYS Rod & Customs Association, we were invited to the 16th Goodguys Summer Get Together in Pleasanton over the weekend. What a neat show!! Lots of cool and custom cars, loads of people, an autocross track, swap meet, a used car corral and plenty to see. We were pleased with the overall response for the cars that we displayed. This was a first for Goodguys to showcase imports. We brought out Mark Arcenal’s S14 and the Garage Inc EK9 and it turned out to be great choices as the crowd really were drawn to both cars. We are hoping to be invited again. Thank you GOODGUYS!! You’ve got our support.

This is where it all started for the import scene. Does anyone recall Sport Compact around '93?

The Ultimate Driving Machine

Published by garageinc under The Grind

I having this dilemma on choosing an exhaust for my buddy’s M5 E60. He wants something crazy and loud. The Meisterschaft GT came out after the Eisenmann. They sound similar. The Meisterschaft gives out a louder tone but does not seem as clean as the Eisenmann. What do you think? Eisenmann or Meisterschaft???

Meisterschaft GT Exhaust - BMW M5 E60

Eisenmann Exhaust - BMW M5 E60

Some other shit…

BMW M3 E46 with some style. I’m digging this two tone look as well as the stance. I have to see this done in the U.S minus the lambo doors. Maybe I’ll do something similar to the Celtima. Props to these guys from Norway!
